I trained as a silversmith from the age of 16, gaining my own hallmark and becoming a freeman of the city of London.
A design job for an interior design company introduced me to door & cabinet hardware in 1998 which led me to starting my own manufacturing company which I sold in 2005. Since then I have been involved in the design and manufacture of hardware to many sectors within our industry.
In March of 2021 I started Smyth Group Ltd which has re-introduced our own manufacturing capabilities and partnerships within the Kitchen and Joinery sectors, we are founder members of The Joinery Network who also has a chapter within BITA.
