How does business grow? A seemingly obvious question but the answer runs deep. Stripped down to the basics, many facets help businesses to grow therefore maybe the more pertinent question is:
What helps a business to grow?
This is where BITA’s values reside. On the surface, fundamentally we are a networking group of construction professionals who delight in understanding our members’ businesses, appreciating and respecting their skillset with a view to joining the dots and communicating their fortes to equally well matched members.
Everyone knows the oft used adage “people buy from people” which remains true and the reason why the most successful businesses build on great relationships. As a networking platform however, we have a culture and ethos beyond this. We are, and genuinely believe in being:
“ The people who know people that help people”.
We are very fortunate in Kent that our construction and business community is close and strong. From main contractors to architects, quantity surveyors, groundworkers, timber manufacturers, concrete repair manufacturers, interior designers, financial advisors, retaining wall specialists, house builders and many more besides – we can benefit from learning more and communicating with these outstanding businesses.
Beneath the surface, should you wish to make the absolute most of a BITA membership, we enjoy getting involved on many different levels. Our members have access to HR advice, Tax advice, Health & Safety advice, Business Strategy advice, Financial advice, Business Mentoring and more.
Our primary focus centres around helping businesses. Whether you are a young business that is expanding rapidly or an established business, evolution occurs at every stage with the right tools at your disposal.
To demonstrate our commitment to existing or upcoming BITA Kent Chapter members, we host a monthly clinic at our HO in Maidstone.
This is a one-on-one meeting with BITA President, Paul Whitnell. Having witnessed Pauls mentoring first-hand and understanding Pauls background in business and politics – if your business is hoping to develop, Paul will listen, advise and offer direction accordingly.
Alternatively, if you are purely wishing to understand the greater connections and possibilities within BITA beyond Kent, use this opportunity to speak with Paul.
The first BITA Clinic is on 24th May 9am – 3pm, appointments are FOC and booked in 1 hour slots. Should you wish to attend, please contact Marcelle Billingsley at marcelle@bita.ie.
